They may not be experts on waste…

Yet, they are doing all they can to fight it.

London designers have taken on waste. Seriously, they have.

Kwik Sweep, the number one company in London for waste removal and collection, is here to tell you more about these “everyday” heroes.

So, here are our favourite, London-based designers whose careers have taken a “green” turn.

  • Brodie Neill

This London-based legend is the creator of a stunning “ocean terrazzo,” a fantastic urban terrace made out of washed up plastic waste. Neil is also keen on tackling discarded fishing nets adrift in the sea, and uses these to complement his creations.

  • Sebastian Cox

Mr. Cox, in his south London workshop, has tested and developed a new material made from wood waste and bound together with natural fungi. With it, he has already designed lamp shades, as well as a lightweight board for insulation. He recently said: “It’s early days yet, but we are passionate about new uses for wood, which is super-sustainable when harvested correctly.”

  • Conor Taylor

Here’s another designer using wood waste in London. Conor Taylor is the mind behind “Foresso,” a unique, compostable timber mosaic-like surface. According to the designer’s website, Foresso is suitable to all interior spaces, it is durable, lightweight, and can be incorporated into furniture design, wall panelling, and customisable surfaces.

The duo’s company, “Smile Plastics,” turns plastic waste into boards for manufacturing. Their products include, but are not limited to, table-tops and storage boxes, which are made from their surprisingly beautiful, heterogeneous mix of plastic bottles and yoghurt and plant pots.

Kwik Sweep is proud to lead and contribute to the same eco-friendly mission that these designers pursue with such passion.

Our services, which span from rubbish clearance in  to Waste removal, cover the whole of London, and are cheap, reliable, and FAST.
