FAQs – HippoBag collections

Q: What can I not put in the bags?

A: We do not accept any hazardous waste such as gas bottles, filled paint pots or asbestos.

Q: Can I put Fridges and mattresses in the bag?

A: Yes you can, However extra charges apply for these items. See our prices page here

Q: Can I fill the bag with soil, bricks or rubble?

A: We allow up to 5% of the bag with these items. If you have more then extra charges apply.

Q: Does the HippoBag need to be in the front garden?

A: No, we can collect the bag no matter where is location in your property.

Q: Can I overfill the HippoBag?

A: No, you cannot overfill the bag. It must be filled to the designated line. If overfilled they extra charges my apply.
